Mr. Schnepf is an architect and designer. He was raised on his family’s farm in LeMars, Iowa, where he learned the value of independence and work. He studied at Iowa State University’s School of Design, where he graduated with honors with a degree in Architecture. He paid his way through design school by working at ISU’s state-of-the-art Parks Preservation Department, restoring historic books, manuscripts, prints, and original artworks. He moved to New York City in 1999 and worked at several world-renowned architectural firms before founding his own architecture and design firm in 2007. Mr. Schnepf is a licensed architect in New York and Connecticut and a member of the American Institute of Architects, including AIANY, AIANYC, and AIACT chapters. He is a donor and eager supporter of the Architectural League of New York, Storefront for Architecture, Manitoga, and Wassaic Project. As a graduate student, Mr. Schnepf taught architecture, design, and history at Iowa State University, and he has been a guest critic at Columbia University, Pratt University, the School of Visual Arts, Parsons New School, and the Fashion Institute of Technology. Mr. Schnepf’s background in architecture, design, technology, education, and preservation allows him to work on a wide variety of projects at RBA.
